FAQ
Quartz Sand
Quartz (quartz sand) is hard, wear-resisting and stable chemical properties silicate mineral which the main component is SiO2. Quartz (quartz sand) color is white or colorless translucent, hardness 7, no cleavage, conchoidal fracture, oil sheen and the relative density of 2.65. it have obvious anisotropy, do not dissolve in acid, slightly soluble in KOH solution, melting point is 1750 ℃. Quartz sand filtration system is using quartz sand as a filtration medium, at a certain pressure, if the higher turbidity of the water pass through quartz, it can retain remove suspended solids, organic matter, colloidal particles, microorganisms, chlorine, odor and some heavy metal ions effectively. Water treatment plant will equip different quartz (different diameters), depending on water production.
